How to Make an Appointment Online for Apple Store Geniusby Sophie SouthernUpdated September 28, 2017
Macs have a reputation for not crashing as often as PCs, but that doesn't mean they always work perfectly or that you know how they work. The Genius Bar, a free feature at Apple Store retail locations, is Apple's solution to any possible problems you might have. Mac "Geniuses" are available to answer your questions, help you understand your Mac and troubleshoot any issues your Mac might be having. The only problem with Apple's Genius Bar is that getting a sit-down with a Genius is nearly impossible if you don't have an appointment. You can make an appointment at the Apple Store and come back later, but Apple also lets you save time by making appointments online ahead of time.
Open a Web browser on your computer and navigate to Apple.com/retail/geniusbar.
Click the "Select a State" drop-down box in the gray "Genius Bar Reservations" square on the right of the page.
Click the "Select a Store" drop-down box and choose your desired Apple Store location from the menu. Click the "Reserve" button.
Click the icon for the product you need help with: Mac, iPod, iPhone or iPad. Click the "Next" button.
Click the appointment slot that is convenient for you. The Genius Bar reservations page displays a timetable with the number of available appointments for morning, afternoon and evening on given days. Use the gray arrows to change the dates you want.
Click the appointment time you want from the drop-down menu of your chosen time of day, and then click the "Next" button.
Sign in with your Apple ID or enter your first name, last name, email and phone number into the provided fields. This is necessary to confirm your reservation. Click the "Next" button to confirm your reservation.
