The Snowball does not require any software to operate, but you will need some type of digital audio software to use the microphone within. The Blue Snowball is compatible with a variety of audio software programs including GarageBand, Logic 7, Logic Pro 8, Sonar and Adobe Premier Elements 4. Other programs are compatible, but have not yet been tested and confirmed.
