How to Get Old English Fonts in Microsoft Word
By Michael Butler
Updated September 28, 2017
Microsoft Office, which includes Microsoft Word, comes with an Old English font. However, you can purchase or download other Old English fonts, if you want. You cannot add fonts to Microsoft Word directly. Word uses your main Windows font file and does not have one of its own. To get a new Old English font in Word, you need to add it to your font file.
Click the Windows "Start" button, then click "Control Panel."
Click "Appearance and Personalization" and "Fonts."
Click the "File" menu, and select "Install New Font."
Click the "Drives" drop-down menu and select the drive where the Old English font you want to add is located.
Double-click the folder containing the font.
Highlight the Old English font. Click "Install."
