How to Turn Off Exp in "World of Warcraft"by Shea Laverty ; Updated September 22, 2017
While maxing your character's level is the goal for many "World of Warcraft" players, there are times when locking your character's experience gains can be useful. For example, with locked experience you can allow a friend to catch up to you while still enjoying questing, dungeons and PvP. To lock your experience, you need to seek out your faction's Experience Eliminator; both of them are located in the main capital of their faction.
Behsten: Alliance Experience Eliminator
Alliance players must head to Stormwind and seek out Behsten to lock their experience. Behsten is always found in the war room of Stormwind Keep, and will lock your experience for a fee of 10 gold. Unlocking experience costs another 10 gold. Behsten is the only person in the room stealthed, making him easy to distinguish from other NPCs.
Slahtz: Horde Experience Eliminator
Horde players can eliminate their experience with Slahtz in Orgrimmar. Slahtz is found in the Hall of the Brave in Orgrimmar's Valley of Honor. Like Behsten, he locks experience for 10 gold and unlocks it for another 10 gold. Also like Behsten, Slahtz is always stealthed to distinguish him from other NPCs.
