Zombie Cheats for "Call of Duty: Black Ops" on an Xbox

"Call of Duty: Black Ops" is a first-person shooter released for the Xbox 360 in 2008. The game has plenty of cheats that users can exploit if they know the correct codes. One particular code unlocks a zombie multiplayer map and a zombie arcade game called Dead Ops Arcade. You can unlock these zombie modes yourself by entering in a certain cheat code at the main menu.

Entering the Cheat Codes

Insert the CD into your Xbox 360 drive and wait for the console to load the game. Wait for the main menu screen to load. The main menu screen looks from the perspective of a person tied to a chair in a test room -- there should be a television set in the center of the screen in front of your character. Tap the left and right trigger buttons on the controller at the same time and keep tapping the buttons until the character breaks free from the chair and stands up. Then move your character around the test room with the controller's left analog stick and follow the room around to the left until you find a small black computer. It should be propped up against the wall and have white writing displayed on the screen. Hold the "X" button on the controller in front of the computer to access the password screen.

Zombie Maps

Type in "3ARC UNLOCK" into the computer once you have accessed the password screen -- there should be a mini keyboard in the top-right corner of your screen to type with. Click the "ENTER" button on the mini keyboard to activate the code. Doing this will unlock all missions for the game but also a zombie-based map and zombie arcade game. The zombie map is called "Five" and lets players link up with each other to fight hordes of undead zombies. Playable characters for the map include John F. Kennedy, Richard Nixon, Robert McNamara and Fidel Castro. The "Five" map also has gameplay features including the use of elevators and an enemy called the Pentagon Thief.

Dead Ops Arcade

Entering the "3ARC UNLOCK" cheat also makes the Dead Ops Arcade mode available. You can access Dead Ops Arcade from the "Zombies" and "Solo" options in the main menu. The arcade game itself is an overhead-view shooter that pits your character against a horde of zombies. There are several weapons and power-ups to pick up and the game is divided into rounds, so when you have killed a set number of zombies you can move your character into the next area for the next set of zombies. There are 40 rounds overall and when you lose all of your character's lives -- you start with three -- the game is over and you must restart the game.

Other Cheats

You can enter other cheat codes into the computer at the main menu. For example, enter "ZORK" into the computer and you can unlock a secret text-based adventure game to play. Entering "ALICIA" will also unlock a secret virtual therapist game called "Alicia." The mini-game works by asking you questions that you must respond to by typing them in on the mini-keyboard. The game will give a response based on your answer. The game cannot be completed and the question and answer format continues for as long as you want to play.
