How to Embed YouTube with Autoplay

YouTube allows us to share and add content to our personal sites, blogs or social network. Most of the time, embedded videos need to be clicked on to begin playing. YouTube has this setting by default. However, sometimes you might prefer that the videos play when pages are loaded, depending on your website design and how you want your videos to be handled on your site. Although YouTube does not have the option to autoplay videos when embedding, you can switch this on by adding a variable to YouTube's embed code.

Go to the YouTube page of the video you would like to embed.

Click the Embed button.

Select the Use Old Embed Code option.

Copy the embed code displayed, and paste it in Notepad.

Insert ";autoplay=1" at the end of the URL. For example, the following snippet of embed code:

Should look like this:

Use the new embed code on your website to automatically play YouTube videos.
