How to Plan a Wedding in "Sims 3"

In "The Sims 3," it is possible for two Sims to get married. Once two Sims have completely filled their relationship bar while dating, the option to propose will appear. Upon proposing, you have the option of getting married immediately in a private ceremony, or to wait and have a wedding party in which your friends and family are invited. Planning a wedding party in "The Sims 3" happens by telephone on the lot of the engaged Sims.

Click on any telephone on the lot of the engaged Sims.

Select "Throw Party."

Select "Wedding Party."

Select the guests you wish to invite. Any Sims that either of the engaged Sims have met is eligible to be invited.

Select the day and time of the wedding. Click "OK."

Click the "Buy" icon at the bottom of the screen. Click the "Party" tab. Buy and place items in your house in preparation for the party, such as a buffet table and balloons. Once the decorations are set and the time arrives, your Sims will have a wedding party and then get married.
