If you have numerous programs on your computer, you might have a hard time finding the one you want. Windows has several features you can use to locate programs on your computer. The “Start” menu, Windows Search, and the Control Panel are features you can use to locate programs on your computer.
Move the pointer to the taskbar and click the “Start” button. The left side of the “Start” menu displays programs you commonly use. Therefore if you commonly use a program, there is a chance you will find it in the “Start” menu. The right side of the “Start” menu contains shortcuts to other locations on your computer.
Search for programs using the search box in the “Start” menu. To find a program, type the name in the search box. For instance, if you want to find the Paint program, type “Paint” in the search box and then select “Paint” from the search results.
Find programs on your computer by using the “All Programs” shortcut on the left side of the “Start” menu. Click “All Programs” to display all of the programs on your computer. A highlighted program indicates that you recently installed it to your computer.
Locate programs on your computer with the Control Panel. In the right side of the “Start” menu, click “Control Panel.” Click “Programs,” and then click “Programs and Features.” This will show you all of the programs on your computer.
