How to Tell What Size Hard Drive Is in an Xbox 360

Updated September 22, 2017
Since its debut in 2005, several different versions of the Xbox 360 gaming console have become available, some with slightly different hardware features (most notably the hard drive). The first hard drive size available was 20 GB, followed by 60 GB, 120 GB and finally the 250 GB model. If you are unsure of which hard drive size your Xbox 360 has, you can find out in the Memory section of the Xbox 360 Settings menu.
Turn on your Xbox 360 console and a controller.
Scroll to the "My Xbox" menu, and choose "System Settings."
Choose the "Memory" sub-menu, select your hard drive and press the "Y" button on your controller to display the size of your Xbox 360 hard drive.
