How to Win at Wii Fit "Ski Jump"

Like most of the balance games in "Wii Fit," the "Ski Jump" game requires carefully timed and controlled movements. By building enough speed during your descent, accurately timing your liftoff from the ramp and remaining perfectly still during the jump, your skier can jump as far as 200 meters. "Wii Fit" adds your scores in two consecutive ski jumps before awarding your ranking, so consistency is also an issue -- a flubbed jump can ruin your chance of reaching the top of the leaderboard.
Stand on the balance board with your knees bent slightly and pressed together. Press the "A" button to start the game.
Shift your weight forward so that the red dot representing your center of balance is in the blue circle of the Wii balance board on the upper-right corner of the screen, turning the background of the board yellow and increasing your speed.
Hold your position until your skier reaches the red line in the ramp and "Extend" appears on the screen. Straighten your legs in a sharp movement to lift off from the ramp.
Lean forward as your skier jumps, moving the red dot as close to the top of the balance board as you can get while keeping it on the vertical line in the center. Hold steady until the skier lands and you receive your score.
Earn a combined score of at least 349 m on two jumps to receive a four-star rating for the event.
Warnings
Your skier will snowball down the hill if your leg extension isn't dramatic enough; however, you should not physically jump on the balance board.
