How to Reset My Metro PCS Phone

by Steven Diggs, Jr. ; Updated September 28, 2017

MetroPCS allows people to have a cellular phone for a set fee. These phones function like other cell phones. A MetroPCS phone may need to be reset if an error has caused the phone to lose data. Performing the reset will remove all files stored on the phone, including pictures and music.

Press the left soft key to open the menu.

Press the left soft key again.

Click on "Settings," then "More" to see more settings.

Click on "Security."

Click "Phone Reset." Type in the password, then press the "Left Soft Key." If you have not changed the password, it is the last four digits of your cell phone number.

Click "OK" to agree to resetting the MetroPCS phone.

Tip

  • Even your ringtones will be erased by the resetting the phone.
