How to Split Screen Your PC Monitorby WayneCUpdated September 28, 2017
Windows 7 comes with a feature called "Snap." This allows you to place two programs or documents next to each other in a split screen. Using the "Snap" feature makes it easier for you to navigate between two programs or documents.
Open the programs or documents you want to view in split screen.
Click on one of the program windows. Press and hold the "Windows" logo button on the bottom-left of your keyboard.
Press the right-arrow on the keyboard, while still holding the "Windows" logo button, to snap the program to the right side of the screen.
Click on the second program or document, and press and hold the "Windows" logo key as before. Press the left-arrow key, while still holding the "Windows" logo button, to snap it to the left side of the screen.
You can also do this with only one program or document, if you wish.
An alternative method is to click and drag the title bar of a window to the right or left until you see an outline of the window. Release the mouse and the window will fill half of the screen on the side you have chosen. Repeat this procedure to place another window on the opposite side of the monitor.
