Diablo 2" is a hack and slash video game from Blizzard that pits you up against the forces of Diablo, an evil doer who seeks to ruin the lands of Sanctuary. The game, by default, plays in full mode, which doesn't allow you access to anything on your desktop. You can play the game in windowed mode by adjusting the "Target" address in the Diablo 2 properties menu.
Click the Windows "Start" menu and click "Programs" if you are using Windows 7 or Vista, or click "All Programs" for prior versions of Windows.
Right-click "Diablo 2" and highlight "Send to." Click "Desktop (Create shortcut)."
Right-click the "Diablo 2" shortcut on your desktop and click "Properties." Add a "-w" at the end of the "Target" address.
For example, it would look like: Target: "C:\Program Files\Diablo II\Diablo II.exe -w" without the quotation marks. Make sure there is a space between ".exe" and the "-w". You should now be able to run Diablo 2 in windowed mode.
