How to Set Up the Codes for a Sanyo Television and a Remote

Televisions, such as the ones manufactures by Sanyo, allow users to view cable programming, as well as visual and audio signals from devices such as VCRs and DVD players. If you do not have a remote for your Sanyo television, you can make use of a universal remote as a substitute. You can program a remote to work with your television through the use of program codes. As long as you know the codes for your television, this process is simple.
Look up the codes for Sanyo televisions in your remote's manual.
Press and hold the "Code Search" button on your remote.
Press the "TV" button, then release the "Code Search" button. The red light on your remote should stay lit.
Enter one of the three-digit codes from the manual into your remote's keypad. If your code was valid, the red light should turn off. If not, the red light will flash repeatedly.
Turn your television on, and test the remote by pressing the "Channel" and "Volume" buttons. If all of the buttons on the remote do not work, repeat this process with another code from your manual.
