How to Set Up to Host Games on "Deer Hunter 2005"

"Deer Hunter 2005" is a virtual deer hunting simulation game that includes an online multiplayer component. You can host a server from within your "Deer Hunter 2005" using the server network at the Gamespy website. Other players with "Deer Hunter 2005" can join your game for online multiplayer hunting. Before you can host a server, you may need to set your Windows firewall to open the server port on your computer, otherwise you may get an error when you attempt to host the game.
Change Firewall Settings: Windows XP
Click the "Start" button and choose "Control Panel."
Click "Windows Firewall" from the "Control Panel" to launch the firewall settings.
Click the "Exceptions" tab and click the "Add Port" button.
Type a name in the "Name" text box, then type "34567" in the "Port number" text box.
Select the "TCP" setting, then click "OK." Your firewall should now allow a connection to the "Deer Hunter 2005" server.
Change Firewall Settings: Windows Vista and Windows 7
Click the "Start" button and choose "Control Panel."
Click "Windows Firewall" from the "Control Panel" to launch the firewall settings.
Choose "Action Center" from the bottom left corner.
Click "Inbound Rules" from the left pane, then click "New Rule" from the right pane.
Select "Port" and click the "Next" button.
Choose "TCP," type "34567" in the "Specific Local Ports" text box, then click the "Next" button.
Choose "Allow the connection" and click the "Next" button twice.
Type a name for the new port rule and click "Finish." Your firewall should now allow a connection to the "Deer Hunter 2005" server.
Host a Game
Launch the "Deer Hunter 2005" game on your computer.
Configure your deer hunting location and time under the "Location" tab.
Click the "Online" tab and choose "Host." A new hosting window will appear.
Configure your game server by giving it a name and selecting how many players can connect to the server. You can also set a hunting time limit and a password.
Place a check in the box next to "Dedicated" and "Publish in Gamespy."
Click the "Open Server" button to host your own "Deer Hunter 2005" game.
Tips
You may also need to set your router in DMZ mode if it is blocking other people from joining your server.
