How to Reset My Gmail Password

Google introduced Gmail on April Fool's Day in 2004. The company first gave out 1,000 accounts to Google employees, friends and family members to test out the new email system. Now, Gmail is a common and popular email application for users around the world thanks to its ease of use, high capacity and wide range of functionality.

Sign in to your Gmail account with your user name and password.

Click "Settings" in the upper right-hand corner.

Click on "Account and Import," then click "Google Account Settings." A new window will open.

Click "Change Password" under "Personal Settings."

Type your current password, then type your new password. Type the new password again for confirmation. Click "Save."
