“Rock Band 2” lets gamers test their musical mettle as they form a band and tackle 84 challenging songs. Players can choose to be singers, guitarists or drummers, and then compete in Story mode to become the world's greatest rock stars. Whether playing alone or with a group of friends, “Rock Band 2” offers hours of music entertainment with bands like Guns 'N Roses, Journey and Metallica. Before you can get playing, though, you need to hook up the game's instruments, one of which is the drum set.

Remove the battery cover on the underside of the drums. Insert three “AA” batteries and replace the cover.

Insert the white dongle into a USB port on the back of the Wii or into the port on another dongle.

Place the drum base legs flat on the floor and connect them with the two black support beams.

Insert the two metal drum legs into the holes on the base, and use the latches on each side to adjust their height.

Set the drum pads onto the legs. Lock them in place using the latches found in the back.

Put the kick pedal on the floor by the support beams, and connect its plug to the orange jack found on back of the drum pads.

Turn on the drums with the gray switch found underneath the pads. Hold the “Drum” button and wait for it to flash blue. Press the “Sync” button on the dongle, and then the “sync” button underneath the drum pads. The drums are now ready to use.
