Touchpads function as a mouse for the laptop and can be various sizes, depending on the size of the laptop. Toshiba laptop's allow the user the ability to enable and disable the touchpad through system menus on the laptop.

Click "Start" button in Windows.

Click "Control Panel."

Click "Printers and Other Hardware."

Click "Mouse Properties."

Click "TouchPAD On/Off" tab.

Click "Enable."

Click "Apply" to put change into effect.

Click "OK." The touchpad on the laptop is now enabled and ready for use.
