In order to download videos with a URL, download a video capture program. A lot of these programs exist, but to obtain an official version, you must download Mozilla Firefox. Through Firefox, you can obtain FLV Capture; this free program gives you the option to capture videos that you want to watch without having to go to the original website where you found it.

Download Mozilla Firefox on Go to the home page. Scroll over the "All add-ons" button at the top of the page.

Click on the "FLV Capture" add-on to install the video capture program. After installation, look for three little balloons toward the middle left of your screen near the beginning of the URL. That is your capture button.

Go to any video sharing website and begin to watch it. Pause the video and see your FLV Capture button pulsing. Click on it. A drop-down menu will appear, giving you two options of how to capture the video. Click on the option that features .flv at the end of it. A menu box will appear where you can create a new folder where all of your videos will go.

Create new folder in the menu box to store your videos.
