Often Redbox kiosks have DVDs available for purchase, though only used DVDs. Unlike renting movies, you cannot check for or reserve DVDs for purchase on the Redbox website, though the kiosk payment options are the same for purchasing movies as for renting movies.

Movie Purchases

To check for movie purchases at a Redbox kiosk, tap the For Sale button when you are browsing for movies. Here you can view the available movies for purchase, make your selection and then use a standard payment method to purchase your movie. If you do not see a “For Sale” button, then that kiosk does not currently have any movies available for purchase.

Purchase Options

When you purchase a movie at a kiosk, you can use a credit or debit card. Redbox accepts American Express, Discover, Mastercard and Visa. Unfortunately you cannot pay with a Redbox gift card, since physical cards are no longer available and digital gift cards can only be used through the Redbox website.
