To play WAV files on a CD player, you must first burn them to a CD. On a PC, you can use Windows Media Player to burn WAV files to a CD. On a Mac, you can use iTunes to burn WAV files to a CD. Both programs come pre-installed on their operating systems and are free to use.
Using Windows Media Player
Open Windows Media Player and select “Burn.”
Drag the WAV files you would like to play on a CD player into the “Burn List.” This “Burn List” will appear in a column on the right side of Windows Media Player. Once you have added all of the WAV files you would like to play on a CD player to this list, insert a blank CD-R into your CD burner.
Click the “Burn” button and then select “Start Burn” to burn the WAV files to CD.
Eject the CD from your computer when finished burning. Then insert the CD into a CD player of your choice to play the WAV files.
Using iTunes
Open iTunes and create a new playlist by clicking “File” and “New Playlist.” This will create a playlist you can use to burn your WAV files to CD.
Drag the WAV files you would like to play on a CD player into the new playlist you created. This playlist will appear in a column on the left side of iTunes. Once you have added all of the WAV files you would like to play on a CD player to this playlist, click the playlist, click “Burn Disc” and select “Burn.”
Insert a blank CD-R into your computer.
Eject the CD from your computer when finished burning. Then insert the CD into a CD player of your choice to play the WAV files.
