How to Unblock Pop-Up Windows on Internet Explorer
By Andrew Smith
Updated September 28, 2017
The Internet Explorer Web browser comes with its own pop-up blocker. Whenever it is enabled, this add-on is designed to block Internet Explorer pop-up windows that are either automatically or manually opened inside of the Web browser. You may wish to unblock pop-up windows in Internet Explorer if you manually open pop-up windows on a regular basis. Disabling the Internet Explorer pop-up blocker is also recommended if you plan to install a third-party pop-up blocker onto the computer.
Open an Internet Explorer window.
Click “Tools” positioned at the top of the window. A menu appears directly underneath Tools.
Place the cursor over the “Pop-up Blocker” option. A menu opens to the right of that option.
Click “Turn Off Pop-up Blocker” inside the second menu. Internet Explorer pop-up windows are unblocked.
Tips
These steps are specifically for the Internet Explorer 8 pop-up blocker.
