Updated September 22, 2017
Like many other computing devices, the Microsoft Xbox 360 video game console uses an IP address (that is, a unique sequence of numbers) to identify itself on computer networks. Knowing an Xbox 360's IP address allows users to customize a computer network and remove limitations on the Xbox 360's access to the Internet. An Xbox 360's IP address can be readily located within the system's main menus.
Scroll to the "System Settings" option on the Xbox 360's main menu and press the "A" button. This option is located on the far right of the "My Xbox" list.
Move the cursor onto the "Console Settings" option and press the "A" button.
Scroll down to the "System Info" option, which should be the last option on the list. The IP address will be displayed on the right side of the screen and is clearly labeled with the phrase "IP."
