How to Throw a 100-MPH Fastball on Wii Sports

The Nintendo video game “Wii Sports” comes packaged with every Nintendo Wii video game system and offers various mini games to play in five different sports, including baseball, bowling, boxing, golf and tennis. In baseball, players go head to head for three innings (instead of the nine innings in real-life baseball), and alternate between batting and pitching. When pitching, a player can throw balls up to 100 mph.
Press the directional pad when you are about to pitch to decide in what direction you’d like to throw: “Left” for inside pitch, “right” for outside pitch, and “up” or “down” to throw over the plate.
Raise your Wii Remote to begin to pitch.
Flick your wrist quickly to throw a fastball. Depending on how fast you’ve flicked your wrist, the ball should read a speed of 100 mph.
Tips
Throw different kinds of pitches in “Wii Sports.” Hold “A” while pitching to throw a screwball (the ball goes to the left on the screen), “B” for a curveball (the ball goes to the right on the screen), and both “A” and “B” for a splitter (the ball goes low).
Warnings
Despite its speed, the fastball is easy for the batter to hit. It’s always a good idea to frequently alternate among the different kinds of pitches.
