Once you receive a corrupted Nintendo DS game file, the only option you have is to delete the file. There is no way to retrieve the information from it. Fortunately, Nintendo created a way to access save files without having to access the in-game menu. This process will free up the save slot on your game to enable you to make a new noncorrupted game save.
Plug the DS game with the corrupted file into the game slot. Turn the system on.
Press the "Left" shoulder button, "Right" on the directional pad and "Select" at the same time. All three buttons must be pressed at the same time.
Select the game by pressing the game's icon on the main menu with the DS stylus pen. The game's memory will be deleted, and you will be able to save a new game file.
Tips
Store the game in a case to protect it from damage and spills.
Warnings
Leaving the game in direct sunlight will cause the save file to become corrupted.
