Download speed may not have been your top concern with your Xbox 360 since the service initially only provided small downloadable content. Now that the Games Store offers full games on demand, it's time to kick off the shackles and get your console downloading faster. If you don't seem to have a problem that you can fix, you'll need to contact your ISP to find out more information about your plan.
Stronger Connection Point
The Xbox 360 faces much of the same problems as your computer does when it comes to proper download speed. For example, you'll always get a better speed if you directly plug your device into the router instead of going the wireless route.
Quieter Network Activity
In addition to weak connection points, attempting to watch streaming movies or play online could also disrupt your download speeds; in fact, that's true for anything using your connection. Make sure nobody else is trying to download or stream media while you're downloading on the console.
