Along with the Wii Remote, some games for the Nintendo Wii console allow you to make use of the Nunchuk, a small joystick that attaches to the Wii Remote. In order to use the Nunchuk, you must first sync your Wii Remote to your Nintendo Wii console if you haven't already.
Press the "Power" button on the Wii console.
Open the small door on the front of the console near the disc tray and remove the battery cover from the Wii Remote you are syncing.
Insert two AA batteries into the controller if you haven't already.
Press the "Sync" button on the Wii console.
Press the "Sync" button on the Wii Remote. The light on the controller will blink for several seconds. Once it stops blinking, your controller is synced to the console.
Replace the Wii Remote's battery cover and close the door on the front of the Nintendo Wii console.
Slide the small string on the Wii Remote's wrist strap through the clip at the plug end of the Nunchuk's cord.
Plug the Nunchuk into the port near the bottom end of the Wii Remote.
