You can follow the quest of Kratos in the "God of War" action and adventure game for the PlayStation 2 video game console, and in the "God of War Collection" for the PlayStation 3. The game features many characters from Greek mythology, including Cyclops, Mesus, Minotaur, the Harpies and Ares. In order to beat the game you must defeat Ares in the last level of the game at the Temple of the Oracle. Before you begin the battle you will be equipped with the Blade of the Gods, which will help you to defeat Ares.

Make it to the last level of the game where you will begin your last battle with Ares. Watch the cut-scene and then the battle will begin.

Press the “L1” button to block attacks from Ares and press the “L1” button when Ares is near you to attack Ares with the Blade of the Gods.

Press the “X” button to jump and move your control stick while jumping when you see Ares disappear into the ground; this will help you to avoid Ares when he resurfaces.

Roll away when you notice the four spires rise from the ground. Continue to block Ares' attacks and use any combat moves to attack Ares.

Press the “circle” button on your controller rapidly as the circle button icon appears on the screen. This will severely drain Ares' health.

End the battle with a combat move or a normal attack by pressing the “square” button. You will then defeat Ares and be able to claim the throne of God of War.
