“RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe” is a compilation of the original “RollerCoaster Tycoon” with the “Corkscrew Follies” and “Loopy Landscapes” expansions. The game has numerous scenarios that require the player to complete various tasks for different amusement parks. There is a secret park that must be unlocked. Mega Park can only be accessed after all of the scenarios from the original “RollerCoaster Tycoon” have been completed. It is not necessary to complete the extra scenarios from the expansion to unlock this park. All of the other scenario parks are unlocked from the start of the game.
Complete the Forest Frontiers, Dynamite Dunes, Leafy Lakes, Evergreen Gardens, Bumbly Beach, Trinity Islands, Aqua Park, Millennium Mines, Karts & Coasters, Mel’s World, Mothball Mountain, Pacific Pyramids, Crumbly Woods, Big Pier, Lightning Peaks, Ivory Towers, Rainbow Valley, and Thunder Rock scenarios in “RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe.” All of these scenarios require getting a park rating on 600. In addition, each park requires getting a certain number of guests within the scenario time limit. This requirement is clearly stated at the beginning of the scenario for each park.
Complete the Diamond Heights, Katie’s World, and Dinky Parks scenarios. The objective is to achieve a specified park value within the scenario time limit. The park value is the combined value of everything built in the park, not the amount of money available to spend.
Return to the Scenario selection screen. The secret park, Mega Park, will be added to the list of scenario parks. Selecting this park will give the player a large, empty piece of land, $10,000, and all rides researched.
Read the park description before starting a new scenario. Each one contains hints to explain where potential challenges for winning that scenario are. Some of the more difficult scenarios have lower objective values due to other challenges, such as being given a very small piece of land on which to build the park.
Mega Park is the only scenario park without an objective for the player to complete. This was added because “RollerCoaster Tycoon Deluxe” did not have an actual sandbox mode. This is the only secret park that needs to be unlocked.
