Items you will need
"Resident Evil 4" is one of the more recent installments in the popular "Resident Evil" series (released in 2007 for the PC), where players must fight for their lives against hordes of zombies and monsters. The game is available on several platforms, including the PC. When playing on the PC, the game must be installed on your computer's hard drive. Luckily, this is an easy task that requires only the compact disk the game comes on and the product key, which should be printed on the CD case's label.
Close out all other programs on your PC. This will ensure a quicker and smoother installation.
Insert the game's disk into your computer's disk drive.
Click "Install" when the "Resident Evil Installation" box pops up on your screen.
Follow the on-screen instructions until your are prompted to enter in the game's product key.
Type in the product key, which can be found printed on a label adhered to the disk's packaging, and click "Next."
Click "Finish" after the game has finished installing and remove the disk from the disk drive. "Resident Evil 4" is now ready to play.
Make sure your computer meets the minimum hardware requirements outlined on the back of the game's box (in the bottom left corner) for best results during gameplay.
