The system requirements that are needed to run this program vary depending on the operating system (Windows or Mac) and on the quality of performance the user wishes to have. There are minimum system requirements that allow the program’s basic functioning to work, and higher system requirements for optimum functioning and accessing additional program features like video mixing.

According to the official website for Virtual DJ, the minimum system requirements for a PC are, “Intel® Pentium® 4 or AMD Athlon™ XP, 1024x768 SVGA video, DirectX compatible soundcard, 512MB RAM, 20MB free on the hard drive.”

Recommended System Requirements on a PC

The recommended system requirements for the PC version Virtual DJ according to their website are, “Intel® Core™ 2 or AMD Athlon™ X2, 1024x768 SVGA video, Multi-channel DirectX compatible soundcard, 1024MB RAM, 30MB free on the hard drive.”

The additional requirements for video mixing are, “2048MB (2GB) RAM, ATI™ or NVIDIA® video card w/256MB of Dedicated DDR3 RAM, Video card must support dual-screen output.”

According to the official website for Virtual DJ, the minimum system requirements for a MAC are, “Intel® processor, Mac OS X v10.5, 1024x768 SVGA video, CoreAudio compatible soundcard, 1024MB RAM, 30MB free on the hard drive.”

Recommended System Requirements on a MAC

The recommended system requirements for the MAC version Virtual DJ according to their website are, “Intel® processor, Latest Mac OS X version (currently v10.6.3), 1024x768 SVGA video, Multi-channel CoreAudio compatible soundcard, 2048MB (2Gb) RAM, 200 MB free on the hard drive.”

The additional requirements for video mixing are, “ATI™ or NVIDIA® video chipset w/256MB of Dedicated DDR3 RAM, Video must support dual-screen output.”
