"Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare" is a popular first-person shooter that allows you to create multiplayer mods that change the game experience by adding new maps, missions, and weapons to the game. "Call of Duty 4" mods are available for free online and must be downloaded and extracted to the proper location before they can be used in-game. You will need to use a file decompression program, such as WinZip, 7-Zip, or WinRAR to extract a downloaded mod package.
Extract the mod files from the downloaded mod package with a file decompression program. Click the “Extract” button to open the “Extract to” dialog.
Double-click on “Program Files” in the “Extract To” window. Double-click on the “Activision” folder. Double-click on the “Call of Duty 4” folder.
Open the “Mods” folder by double-clicking on it in the “Extract To” window. Press the “Extract” button to extract the contents of the mod package to the “Mods” folder. Close your file decompression program when the extraction completes.
Run "Call of Duty 4." Select “Multiplayer” from the main menu. Click on “Mods” to view a list of all installed mods; you can now use your new mod in "Call of Duty 4" games.
