The Nintendo Wii offers a flash player within its Internet browser. The Opera-powered Internet browser allows users to browse the Internet and access flash video and game sites. This opens an entire new world for Nintendo Wii owners, and helps maximize the full power of the home video game console. The browser does not come with the Wii, but can be downloaded onto the console using the Wii Shop.
Turn on Wii
Turn on your Nintendo Wii and wait for it to boot up. You will be greeted with the Nintendo Wii home menu, called the Wii Dashboard.
Open Wii Shop
Navigate to the "Wii Shop" channel on the Wii Dashboard and select it with your Wiimote. You will be greeted with the Wii Shop home menu.
Download Internet Channel
Browse through the applications and games. Locate the "Internet Channel" and select it. It costs 0 Wii points, which means it is free. The Internet Channel will download and install. If you want to purchase other games, you will need to click on "Add Wii Points" and place a credit card on file, or link a Wii Points Card to your Wii Shop account.
Using Flash
Select your Internet Channel from your Wii Dashboard and navigate to the site that needs to use the flash player and you will be able to access the flash sections.
