When you create an online account with a product or network (it can be anything from a new Facebook account to filling out information for your online banking service), you are asked for an email address. This is so the company can easily provide you with information. The email address, once you approve it, is registered with the network or company you submitted it to.
Log on to the account or site you want to register the email address for.
Select the "Settings" option for the site, and there is a blank for your email address. Type in your address here. You are often to type the email address twice to confirm the address. Click "Save" to save your settings.
Log on to your email address. A confirmation email is sent to your email account from the account you are attempting to register the email with.
Click on the confirmation email, then click on the link inside the email. This takes you back to the account and completes the registration of your email address.
