Gmail is a free email server offered by Google. Like other email services, you must have a username and a password to view your inbox and send emails. Understanding that passwords can become lost, Gmail offers a way for you to retrieve your password. Although slightly convoluted, you simply need to have Internet access and an existing Gmail account to retrieve your password.

Open your Web browser and navigate to

Click the "Can't access your account?" link and select the bullet titled "I forgot my password."

Click the "password recovery page" link that appears once you select the "I forgot my password" bullet.

Enter your Gmail account username and press the "Submit" button.

Answer the security question that you provided when you created your Gmail account.
