Internet connection
“Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock” license key
“Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock” is a music simulation game originally released on several different video game consoles. Aspyr Media created a port of the game for PC in 2007 shortly after the original release. The online mode for the PC version of the game works slightly different than the console versions of the game. The player must register an online account through the game to play online or download more songs for the game.
Connect your PC to the Internet if it is not already connected.
Start “Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock.” Wait for the main menu to appear.
Choose “Online” from the main menu.
Choose “Create New Account” from the submenu that appears.
Enter a user name, password and the license key for your copy of the game in the prompts. The license key is the number located on the back of the manual, not the number on the back of the box.
Press “OK” when finished. Your online account will be created at this point. You can now log into it using the user name and password you registered.
Tips
Write down your user name and password and keep it in a safe place. You will not be able to log in to play online or download songs without this information.
Warnings
License keys can only be used to make one online account for “Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock.” If you bought a used copy of the game, you will not be able to create a new online account if the original owner registered an online account using the license key. In this situation, you would not be able to make a new online account without buying a new copy of the game.
