How to Recover My Email Contacts on MSNby LissaJUpdated September 28, 2017
Email contacts are often important to business or personal relationships, so if you log into your MSN account and can't find your contacts, you might be very upset. Although your MSN contacts may be gone permanently, perhaps due to a virus or through accidental erasure, there are a few ways that you can try to retrieve them before you give up hope. With a little bit of luck--and the right process--you might be able to get back your missing MSN contacts.
Recover Contacts from a Hacked Email Account
Open your blocked contacts folder. There is a strong possibility that the person who hacked your email account simply moved your contacts into the blocked folder so he could use your account more easily. You will be able to move them out from there. Click on "contacts" and then "blocked contacts." If you find your contacts there, you can click on each one and select "unblock." They will automatically move back to your contact list.
Contact MSN Help through the Help feature in your email account. Explain that your account has been hacked and that you are missing your contacts. If you catch the problem within the first few days after the hack occurred, MSN can usually revert your account to the way it was before it was hacked.
Copy your contacts from your sent messages, one by one, into your contacts list if the above methods don't work.
If your contacts have disappeared after you have not logged into your MSN account for a long time, you might not be able to get them back. MSN will temporarily remove contacts and information from your account if you have not logged in for 30 days, and after two months will remove them permanently. You can try emailing the Help Desk through your MSN account, and if you are in between one and two months since logging in, there is a small chance your information can be restored. MSN Help is the only department that can do this.
