The Nintendo DSi is a portable video game console that is an updated version of the original Nintendo DS. Features on the DSi include two screens, two built-in cameras, wireless Internet connection capability and an advanced touch-screen technology. The DSi also has a slot for a Secure Digital (SD) memory card that can store a number of photos, data and DSi games.

Purchase a blank external SD card from your local video game retailer. Insert the SD card into the appropriate slot on your Nintendo DSi. Also, you can purchase DSi Store points at a participating video-game store.

Make sure that you have set up Internet access on your DSi through your wireless Internet or at a Wi-Fi hotspot. Use your stylus pen to click on the Nintendo DSi Shop from the main menu of your DSi.

Click on the “Start Shopping” option and then choose either the “Free,” “200,” “500,” “800+” or “Find Titles” option. The numbers indicate points that it takes to purchase the game.

Click on the title of the game you want to download, and the click on the “Download” option. Click on the “Yes” button that pops up and then allow time for the download to complete.

Click on the “Settings” option from the main menu on your DSi. Click on the “Data Management” option and then the “System Memory” option.

Locate the game you have downloaded, and then click on the “Copy” button. Your game will now be stored on the SD card.
