How to Turn on Subtitles on a Sony LCD Bravia

The Sony Bravia is a high-definition, flat-screen LCD television featuring cutting-edge technologies such as motion-blur reduction and energy efficient components. Closed captioning for the Bravia is easily activated by remote control.

Press the green "Power" button on the Sony remote control to turn on your TV.

Press the purple "Menu" button.

Navigate to the "Setup" menu by pressing the "arrow down" key.

Press the "arrow right" key to get to the "Setup" options on the right panel.

Navigate to the option "Closed Captions (CC)" by pressing the "arrow up" or "arrow down" key.

Press the "arrow right" key and select "On." Then press "Enter" button.

Press the "arrow down" key to get to the sub-option "Basic."

Press the "arrow right" key and select "CC1."

Press the "Enter" button and then "Menu."
