Computer with iTunes software
Adding a podcast to your iPod is a great way to diversify your media library. Podcasts offer unique information and entertainment, but they occupy space on your iPod. By deleting podcasts from your iPod, you can regain memory, so that you can add different content.
Connect the iPod to your computer using a USB cable. You should see iTunes start up automatically. If not, then start it as you would start any program on your computer.
Click on the iPod icon in the device list on the left side of the iTunes interface.
Click on “Podcasts” under the iPod icon.
Highlight the podcast that you want to delete from your iPod, by clicking on it with your mouse.
Delete the podcast by pressing either the delete or backspace button on your keyboard.
Click the “Remove” button when iTunes asks if you want to remove the selected podcast.
The process for removing podcasts is the same whether you have an iPod Nano, Shuffle, Touch or Classic.
When you delete a podcast from your iPod it is only removed from your iPod--it will remain in your iTunes library. If you want to delete the podcast altogether, you’ll need to delete it from both your iPod and your iTunes library.
