How to Get Rid of HP Smart Web Printing

by Kenneth Coppens ; Updated September 15, 2017

HP Smart Web Printing is a program that lets you customize printing pages from websites. A common problem associated with printing from a website is that you end up with text that is unnecessary or unimportant. This drastically increases how often your ink cartridges must be replaced. Although this is a great program for people who frequently print pages from the Internet, it is essentially a waste of space for those who do not print often. Like most software, HP Smart Web Printing can easily be removed.

Click on the "My Computer" icon on the desktop. If the icon is not located on the desktop, open the "Start" menu in the lower-left corner of the screen.

Open the "Control Panel" folder.

Open the "Add/Remove Programs" application. Depending on your version of Windows, it may have a different title. With Windows 7, click on “Uninstall a Program” directly beneath the "Programs" section in the Control Panel. With any other version of Windows, click on the "Add/Remove Programs" icon.

Find "HP Smart Web Printing" in the list of programs. Click on "Remove" to start the removal process. Follow the directions on the screen to completely remove it.
