Want a copy of that video you saw on YouTube? Several websites can help you download it, and then you can burn it to a CD to save. The whole process is simple. But be aware that CDs cannot accept YouTube videos in the same format as DVDs. You'll have to burn the videos to CD as data files.
Go to a website that allows you to download YouTube videos. SaveVid.com and Vixy.net (see links in the References) are two options that allow you to convert the Flash videos on YouTube into a format you can save on your computer.
Enter the URL of the YouTube video you want to download. Select a format such as MP4 or MOV and click "Download." Click "Save" and select where to save the video to when the download is complete.
Double-click the downloaded YouTube file to preview it and make sure it converted properly. Close the player when the preview is complete.
Insert a blank, writable CD into your CD drive and launch your CD-burning program. If you do not have such a program, download and install one of the free options listed in the Resources: CDBurnerXP or NCH Express Burn.
Select "Data Disk" as the burning option.
Import the video into the CD-burning program and click "Burn." Select the maximum burning speed, if necessary, and click "OK." The disk tray should open once the burning process is complete.
