If you need to program a Samsung universal remote, it is simple to do. Even if you cannot find the instructions or codes you need to use, programming the Samsung remote can still be accomplished.

Turn on your television.

Press the "Code Search" button until the indicator light comes on, then release the button.

Press the "TV" button. After you press and release the TV button on the remote, the light should blink once and then stay lit.

Enter a three-digit code. The remote code for Samsung will be 004, 005, 006, 011, 012, 013, 014, 015, 017, 09, 027, 036, 037, 077, 082, 104, 105, 106, 171, 172, 196, 201 or 204. The indicator light will turn off if the code is input correctly. If the light blinks rapidly, the wrong code was put into the controller. Go back to the Step 2 and repeat.

Point the control at the television and press the "On-Off" button. If your television turns off, you have used the right code. If nothing happens, put in a different code.

Tips

Trial and error is the best route; depending on the television you have, the code can vary. The listed codes in this article are the most commonly used ones.

Warnings

Don't hesitate between Step 2, Step 3 and Step 4. You need to input the sequence quickly.
