How to Deposit Money to PayPal

A PayPal account gives you the ability to safely transfer and receive money online. It can be used for virtually all of your Internet financial transactions. There are times you will need to have money deposited in your PayPal account. The process involved is fairly simple and does not require much time. Anyone who has an account can accomplish it.
Sign in to your PayPal account by providing the email address that is associated with your account and the password. Click on the “Log In” button. This will open the “My Account Overview” page.
Transfer money from your bank account. You can easily add money to your account from most U.S. banks. All you need is either a checking or savings account. Click on the “Add Money” link that you will find at the upper-left side of the overview page. Select the link “Add Money From Bank Account." If you have not previously added a financial institution to your PayPal account, do so by following directions provided in Step 3. If you already have at least one account listed, it will be shown on the “From” drop-down box. If this is your situation, then skip ahead to Step 4.
Add a bank account to your PayPal account. You must link a checking or savings account (or both) in order for you to be able to deposit money. Click on the “Add Bank Account” link provided. You will need to supply a bank name and account type (checking or savings). Next, type in the routing number and account number. When you have finished, click on the “Continue” button. You will have to confirm your account prior to being able to use it. Click on “Profile,” “Bank Accounts” and then “Confirm.”
Transfer funds from your bank account. To deposit money into your PayPal account, select the account you want to use. Type in the amount you want to transfer and then click on the “Continue” button. You will see the balance on your PayPal account adjusted to include the money deposited.
Use your PayPal Plus credit card to deposit funds. If you have a PayPal Plus credit card, you are able to instantly transfer money from it to your account. This is a credit card offered by PayPal for which you must qualify.
Tips
You can find your bank's routing number on the bottom left of your checks. It should be nine digits. You can find your account number on the bottom right of your checks. It should be from three to 17 digits. You can link up to eight different bank accounts to your PayPal account.
Warnings
When you transfer money to your PayPal account from a checking or savings account, it will take between three to five business days to be processed.
