You can program your AT&T U-verse remote to operate your TV, Blu-Ray, DVD, stereo tuner and other devices. AT&T U-verse currently has four models of remotes: the S10 and S20 models, the Silver model and the Point Anywhere model. Programming the S10 and Silver versions are similar. To determine which model you have, look on the back of the remote for the model number before you begin.

Manually Program the Silver or S10 Remote to Your Device

Step 1

Search for the four-digit code or codes for the device in the Manufacture Code List in the AT&T Remote User Guide. There may be more than one possible code.

Step 2

Press and hold the appropriate mode button (TV, DVD or AUX) on the remote, and press and hold the "OK" button simultaneously.

Step 3

Release both buttons. The four mode buttons on the remote will flash twice, which indicates you are in programming mode. You now have 10 seconds to enter the code for your device.

Step 4

Enter a code specific to the brand of your device on the remote’s number pad. If the code you enter is correct, the mode button on the Silver remote flashes three times; it flashes once if the code you enter is incorrect. On the S10 remote, if you enter the correct code, the mode key flashes one long flash; it flashes eight times if you entered an incorrect code.

Step 5

Press the "Power" button to verify correct operation while aiming the remote at the device. The device turns off if your code is correct. If the device does not turn off, start over using the next code in the list.

Step 2

On the Silver remote, enter “922” on the keypad. All mode buttons flash twice if you correctly enter this number. Next, for DVD or TV mode, press and release "Play." For AUX mode, press and release "Play," then press "1" for VCR, "2" for receiver or tuner, "3" for amplifier, or "4" for HTIB (home theater in a box). The mode keys flash twice if you entered this number correctly. Finally press "FF" a number of times until the device turns off.

On the S10 remote, there is no need to enter any numbers. Instead, simply press the "FF/Scan" key repeatedly until the device turns off.

Step 3

Press "Enter" at the bottom of the remote to complete programming.
