How to Use My Webcam on My Dell XPS M1530

The Dell XPS M1530 is a notebook with a 15.4-inch display. It features a 2.2-gigahertz, Core 2 Duo processor and 2-gigabyte RAM. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, USB, memory card reader and fingerprint reader. A webcam is integrated into the computer. Using the Dell XPS M1530 webcam is a simple task.

Adjust webcam settings. Right-click the webcam icon in the system tray and select the option "Launch Webcam Console." Adjust brightness, contrast and other video settings from the "Camera" tab. Adjust audio settings from the "Effects" tab.

Capture pictures. Right-click the webcam icon in the system tray and select the option "Launch Webcam Center." Click "Start" in the "Photo Capture" tab. Click "Capture" to take a snapshot.

Record a video. Right-click the webcam icon in system tray and click "Launch Webcam Center." Click "Start" in the "Video Recording" tab. Record a video by clicking the "Record" button.
