How to Unlock a Verizon Wireless Droid

by Steve Gregory

The Verizon Wireless Motorola Droid is a smartphone that runs the Google Android operating system. It is a touchscreen phone that has typical Android features, such as multiple installed applications and the ability to connect to Wi-Fi networks. The Droid also gives users the ability to secure the phone with a security "Pattern." To unlock a secure Droid, you must swipe the correct pattern on the screen. It is also possible to disable the unlock pattern feature if you no longer want to use it.

Press the "Power" button.

Drag the "Lock" icon on the screen to the right with your finger. If applicable, draw the security pattern to unlock the phone.

Tap the "Menu" icon, then "Settings" and select "Location and Security." Uncheck the box next to "Require pattern" and then tap "Save."
