How to Uninstall a Safari Browser

by Garrett Genet

Safari is a Web browser developed by Apple that is primarily used on systems running Mac OS X (it comes pre-installed). It is also available for various Windows operating systems and can be downloaded freely from Apple's website. Safari comes with many of the same capabilities as other browser variations. If you no longer have a use for the Safari browser on any of your systems, you can uninstall it. You'll need administrative permissions to do so.

Mac OS X

Open your hard drive from your desktop.

Open "Applications."

Click and drag "Safari" from the list and into the "Trash." When asked for confirmation, click "Yes."

Windows

Open your "Start" menu and select "Control Panel." If you don't see it, look under "Settings."

Click "Programs and Features."

Click "Safari" on the list of installed applications.

Click "Uninstall" and select "OK" when asked for confirmation.
