How to Uninstall & Reinstall Norton Antivirus

Norton Antivirus is a security product from Symantec that provides antivirus protection for your computer. If you need to uninstall and reinstall this software on your computer, you can do so without affecting your registration status. This is useful if you are trying to troubleshoot a computer issue or you are reinstalling your operating system.

Click "Start," open the "Control Panel" and open the "Add/Remove Programs" section.

Click on the Norton Antivirus entry and click the "Remove" button. Click "Next" and then wait for the software to be uninstalled from your computer.

Restart your computer once the software has uninstalled. This is necessary to stop and delete any remaining Norton services that are installed on your computer.

Locate your installation media for your Norton Antivirus product, either the installation CD or the installation file on your computer. Double-click on the setup.exe file to start the installation of Norton Antivirus.

Click "Install Norton Antivirus" and then click through the license agreement and setup pages. Once the software has been installed, restart your computer and you will be able to use it.
