How to Uninstall Foxy Proxy

by Jason Artman

Foxy Proxy is a proxy server management utility for the Firefox Web browser. Some people prefer to browse the Web through proxy servers, as this makes their online activities anonymous, preventing third parties such as advertisers from tracking and profiling their Web browsing habits. If you have tried Foxy Proxy and decided that you would rather use a different utility for managing multiple proxy servers, remove Foxy Proxy to prevent it from creating conflicts with the new utility.

Launch Firefox. Click the "Tools" menu at the top of the window, then select "Add-ons." The Firefox Add-ons window will appear.

Click the "Extensions" button at the top of the Add-ons window.

Click "FoxyProxy," then click the "Uninstall" button. A window asking you to confirm that you want to uninstall Foxy Proxy from Firefox will appear.

Click the "Uninstall" button to confirm the uninstallation.

Click the "Restart Firefox" button to restart the browser and finish removing Foxy Proxy.
